In Loving Memory

Ora was a proud Torringtonian and a loving father to his two children, Ora and Daley. Not only did he compete for Torrington on the gridiron from youth through his high school career, but he also spent many years coaching for the Torrington High School Football program as well as instructing kids in several different youth sports in the years to follow.

Ora gave back to his community by volunteering countless hours as a coach and mentor, leaving a positive and meaningful impact on the lives of many. In February, 2022, at 46 years old, Ora lost his courageous battle with Colon Cancer due to complications from COVID-19. It is our turn to give back to Ora for all he offered to the youth of Torrington.

Giving Back

On June 8th, Ora IV had the honor of awarding the first recipients of the Ora Curry III Memorial Foundation scholarship at the Litchfield County Sports Banquet. Michael Iszczak and Brendan McGowan were recognized for their hard work, dedication, and positive attitude on and off the field.

Thank you to everyone for their generous donations making it possible to honor these young men in Ora's memory.

O'Dawg's Oktober Fest

Join us for a fun-filled Fall day to honor Ora on what would be his 47th birthday. The Oktoberfest celebration will be at Elk's Pond and include all of Ora's favorite things: family, friends, live music, food, drinks, and games.
